Chaos Symbol Pewter Pendant Necklace - Eight-Arrow Chaos Star

This chaos symbol necklace carries the eight-arrow chaos star in lead-free pewter. The design comes from Michael Moorcock's Elric of Melnibone stories. There, arrows radiate in every direction to picture pure possibility. Law, by contrast, was shown as a single straight arrow. The symbol has since spread far beyond the page. Each chaos symbol necklace features eight arrows pointing outward from a single center. Writer Michael Moorcock introduced the device in the 1960s and 1970s. Occultists later adopted it for chaos magic, a British current of the 1970s. It also appears in tabletop games such as Warhammer. Law and Chaos pulled the multiverse between order and freedom. The eight-arrow star stood for Chaos and its endless directions. Artist friends and fans spread the mark through fantasy publishing. The Chaos Star in Modern Use By the 1970s the chaos star anchored the practice of chaos magic. The Illuminati of Thanateros adopted it as their emblem. The mark also surfaced in punk art and gaming culture. It now reads as a general sign of disorder and open possibility. Styling and Wearing the Chaos Symbol Necklace The chaos symbol necklace fits any wearer. Its 33 in cord shortens by tying the ends. The flat star sits well over dark fabric. The thick pewter keeps its edges through daily wear. Care Notes Wipe the pewter with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners. Store it flat or hanging to protect the cord.
