Channeled Whelk Ornament

It's easy to mistake a Channeled Whelk for a Conch, but they're different! How do you tell? Mostly by where you are - Whelks live in cooler, temperate climates and are carnivores, while Conches live in tropical waters and are herbivores. This Channeled Whelk Ornament is made from Maple wood grown and milled in the USA!  The ornament is finished with a non-toxic food-safe oil to enhance and protect the natural beauty of the wood. Ornament comes tied with a hanging ribbon and bow (also made in the USA). Approximate dimensions: 4" x 2 1/2" x 3/16" Made in Wisconsin by Nestled Pines Woodworking. USA grown hardwoods are a renewable, biodegradable and sustainable resource.
