Ceramic Platter

8 sided Ceramic Platter -- $325 Tan glaze with Cobalt Blue embellishment Dimensions: 1” deep 13” wide Dishwasher, Oven, and Microwave safe* Ships from Memphis, TN -- This custom made stoneware serving piece was hand carved and thrown on a potter's wheel. The glazes used on this piece are custom mixed made for firing in a gas kiln at high temperatures with a reduction atmosphere. I finish the glaze in a semi-matte so it is easier to use as a serving dish - this also makes the dish lightweight and comfortable to hold.  Stoneware fired at high temperatures are known to be very durable - with proper care, this piece can last for centuries. *This piece is dishwasher safe and can be warmed in the oven up to around 350 degrees. It is not designed for stovetop use. This piece is approved for microwave use -- NOTE: extended microwave use (over many decades) on ceramic items with high power settings can cause the piece to become dry or brittle. These are great serving pieces made with love and artistry. They serve as fantastic gifts for anniversaries, mother's day, weddings, graduations, house warmings, etc. Check out the other items in my shop to create a whole set!
