Centurion Mk III (skirts)

Centurion Mk3 (skirts) miniature, representing the British Cold War–era main battle tank fitted with protective side skirts over the suspension and tracks. Introduced in the early 1950s, the Centurion Mk3 featured the powerful 20-pounder (84 mm) gun, improved armor, and better fire control compared to earlier models, making it one of the most advanced tanks of its time. The addition of skirts enhanced protection from debris and shaped-charge weapons, increasing survivability on the battlefield. Widely used by the British Army and exported to several allied nations, the Centurion Mk3 became a cornerstone of early Cold War armored forces.
