Noble Offspring

Each generation stands on the shoulders of the generations preceding it.  The same applies to iris hybridizing.  Today's modern hybrids stand on the shoulders of the hybrids of yore.  Consider our current muse.  When tracing parentage, we find a lineage that reaches all the way back to Dykes award winners, Mary Randall (1950) and Babbling Brook (1966).  Noble Offspring, indeed!  Notice the clean contours and large flower form of our Noble Offspring and consider that one can never have too many plicatas!  This late-season bloomer produces eight buds per stalk and carries a slight fragrance.  Seedling # A302-1.
