Cenicienta: Cuento vs. realidad

Are there any elements of truth in “Cinderella”? A young woman can be overworked, dirty from fireplace cinders, and left out by her mean stepsisters. But of course, there wouldn’t be a fairy godmother saving the day by turning rags to a beautiful ball gown and mice into horses. Integrating science and culture with literacy, this book adds funny “Truth Time” sidebars to a retelling of Cinderella, explaining balls, trespassing, shoe fitting, and more. Translated into North American Spanish. Includes discussion of fairy tale traits, fictional vs. real comparison chart, and glossary. Perfect for young students just learning about fiction and nonfiction and real versus not real, this title supports CCSS standards for reading literature.
