EZ‑snap canopy (top/end) and universal knockout backplate (surface wall). UL 94 5VA flame‑rated, impact‑resistant thermoplastic housing (white or black). Options: SDT self‑testing diagnostics; SPV 120/230 V special voltage. 5‑year full warranty; battery 5‑year prorated; CEC Title 20 compliant. Applications & Design Notes Choose this remote‑capable exit sign when you need a slim, economical fixture that can extend egress coverage with one or two nearby remote heads—ideal for vestibules, short corridors around corners, elevator lobbies, and stair landings with small “dead zones.” The compact cabinet keeps projection low in narrow halls, and the remote output lets you aim light precisely where photometrics need a boost without upsizing to a combo unit. For planning, verify the remote‑head wattage from the head’s spec (e.g., 0.5–2.0 W typical). Keep the total remote load ≤ 5.5 W and account for wire length and gauge to control voltage drop. Where the on‑board legend is visible from two approaches, specify double‑face; otherwise keep single‑face to minimize power draw. If your mains are 230 V, the SPV option avoids external transformers and maintains listing. Remote Output: up to 5.5 W (RC models) for compatible low‑watt remote heads. Listings: UL 924 emergency signage; damp‑location rated (0–40 °C). Housing: UL 94 5VA thermoplastic; white or black finish. Illumination Long‑life LEDs provide uniform, glare‑controlled legend visibility; select red or green to match building standards. Use remote output to power adjacent remote heads for targeted egress lighting beyond the sign’s face visibility. Electrical Dual‑voltage 120/277 V input; optional SPV 120/230 V variant for international services. 3.6 V Ni‑Cd battery; 90‑minute emergency operation; solid‑state transfer; two‑rate charger (~24 h recharge). Bi‑color status LED (green/normal, red/service) with push‑to‑test for quick checks. Remote‑capable output 5.5 W (RC) — size remote heads so the load budget is not exceeded. Mounting Top/End: EZ‑snap canopy attaches to common J‑box patterns. Wall: universal knockout backplate supports surface mount without special adapters. Housing / Finish Injection‑molded, impact‑resistant UL 94 5VA thermoplastic for a light, durable enclosure. Finish options: white or black to coordinate with interior palettes. Options SDT — self‑testing diagnostics (monthly / semi‑annual / annual) for automated inspection readiness. SPV 120/230 V — special‑voltage input for facilities with 230 V mains. Pair with remote lighting heads sized to the available RC budget. Certifications / Warranty UL 924 listed; damp‑location rating (0–40 °C). Meets NFPA 101, NEC, and OSHA; CEC Title 20 compliant. 5‑year full warranty on the unit; battery 5‑year prorated. Dimensions See the spec sheet drawings for envelope dimensions, faceplate, and canopy details. Installation & Code Tips Arrow selection: Set chevrons to match the approved egress direction; document left/right/double in submittals. Remote load: Sum the rated watts per head; keep ≤ 5.5 W; consider voltage drop on longer runs. Testing: Allow a full charge before performing a 90‑minute discharge; keep monthly function logs and annual duration tests. Legend planning: Use double‑face where approach occurs from both directions; otherwise single‑face reduces load and glare. International mains: Use SPV 120/230 V where required to maintain listing and avoid field transformers. It means the internal battery/driver can power external remote heads up to a total of 5.5 W, allowing you to extend light to nearby areas without a full combo unit. How do I size remote heads to the 5.5 W budget? Check each head’s rated watts and sum the load. Keep the total ≤ 5.5 W. Use shorter runs and appropriate wire gauge to minimize voltage drop. Can I use this on 230 V mains? Yes—specify the SPV 120/230 V option to maintain listing without step‑down transformers. Is self‑testing available? Yes. The SDT option automates monthly, semi‑annual, and annual tests with status indication for maintenance logs. When should I choose double‑face? Use double‑face where occupants approach from both directions (e.g., corridor intersections) to keep the legend visible on either side. remote‑capable exit sign 5.5 W thermoplastic LED exit sign red/green Ni‑Cd 90‑minute exit signage self‑testing exit sign diagnostics SPV 120/230 V special‑voltage exit sign
