Solid 925 sterling silver with a rhodium finish. Sizes 4–11. His — One Ring An 8mm tungsten band brushed to a soft matte, with a narrow channel of crushed natural moss agate set off-centre rather than down the middle. Flat profile, comfort fit. Sizes 7–13. One Stone, Two Ways What ties the set together is not a shape or a metal — it is the moss agate itself, used two completely different ways. Hers is a single faceted pear, cut and polished so you read the green inclusions as a landscape inside a clear stone. His is the same material crushed into fragments and set flush in a channel, so it reads as texture rather than as a gem. That is deliberate. Matching sets that copy one design onto a wider band usually leave one partner wearing something that does not suit them. This pair shares a material and a color and nothing else, which is why the rings look related without looking identical. Celtic Knotwork The trinity knot — the triquetra — is a single unbroken line folded into three loops, and it has been used for over a thousand years to stand for continuity: no beginning, no end, no seam. On a wedding set that reading needs no explanation. Hers carries four of them, two flanking the centre stone and one crowning each band. Natural Moss Agate Moss agate is not banded agate — it is translucent chalcedony with green mineral inclusions that spread like lichen or bare winter branches. It has been called the gardener's stone for centuries, and in crystal traditions it is tied to growth, grounding and new beginnings, which is a fair thing to put on a marriage. Our guide to moss agate meaning covers the symbolism, and is moss agate durable gives the honest daily-wear answer. Because the stone is natural, both rings vary. Her centre stone's pattern of green is unique to it, and the crushed fragments in his band settle differently in every ring. The metal, the cut and the sizes are identical on every set; what is inside the agate is not. Two Metals, One Reason Her rings are solid 925 sterling silver with a rhodium finish. His is tungsten carbide in its natural silver-gray. Both read as white metal from any normal distance, so the set looks like a set — but each ring is made from the material that suits how it will be worn. Sterling takes fine detail and holds a set stone; tungsten survives a hand that works. The practical consequence is that they age differently and are cared for differently. Hers can be resized and refinished. His cannot be resized at all. Sizing and Engraving Choose His Ring Size and Her Ring Size separately above — both are required. His runs 7 to 13, hers 4 to 11, all including half sizes. Tick Add Engraving to open the engraving fields. His band takes up to 25 characters, hers up to 16 — the difference is simply how much inner surface each ring has. You can engrave one ring, the other, or both. Engraved rings are final sale, so check the spelling before you order. His band cannot be resized. Tungsten is too hard to stretch or cut and rejoin, so his size has to be right at the point of ordering. Comfort fit also runs slightly large — many people take a quarter to a half size smaller than in a standard-fit ring. Hers is sterling and can be resized normally. The rings are also sold individually: the Celtic knot moss agate ring set and the off-set moss agate men's band. See more in our couples rings and moss agate jewelry collections. Hers: warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, paying attention to the knotwork where lotion collects; avoid abrasive polishes and chlorine, which wear the rhodium. His: a soft damp cloth only — no polishing cloths or compounds, which will burnish the brushed finish into a patchy shine. Neither ring should go near an ultrasonic cleaner, and both should come off for the gym, heavy lifting and swimming. Our guides to cleaning sterling silver and cleaning moss agate safely cover the detail. Frequently Asked Questions How many rings come in the set?Three. Her side is a two-ring stack — the moss agate engagement ring plus a matching chevron band that nests under it — and his is a single 8mm tungsten band. How do I choose two different sizes? His Ring Size and Her Ring Size are separate dropdowns above the add-to-cart button, and both are required. His runs 7 to 13, hers 4 to 11, all with half sizes. Do the two rings match exactly? No, and by design. They share the same natural moss agate and the same white-metal tone, but hers is a faceted pear in sterling silver and his is a crushed inlay in tungsten. They read as a pair rather than as one ring in two widths. Is the moss agate real?Yes, in both rings. Genuine natural moss agate, never dyed — faceted in hers, crushed and set in resin in his. Will they look exactly like the photos?Close, but each stone is its own. Her centre stone's green pattern is unique, and the crushed fragments in his band settle differently in every ring. Metal, cut and sizing are identical on every set. Can the rings be resized?Hers can — it is sterling silver, and resizing starts from $45. His cannot: tungsten carbide is far too hard to stretch or cut and rejoin. Get his size right before ordering. Can I engrave both rings?Yes. Tick Add Engraving to open the fields. His takes up to 25 characters, hers up to 16, and you can fill in one or both. Engraved rings are final sale. Why are the two rings different metals?Because they do different jobs. Sterling silver takes fine knotwork and holds a set stone; tungsten carbide survives a hand that works and will not scratch. Both read as white metal, so the set still looks like a set. Can I buy just one ring?Yes. Both are listed separately — the Celtic knot moss agate ring set in sterling silver, and the off-set moss agate men's wedding band in brushed tungsten. Does it work for any couple?Yes. The sizes are the only thing labelled his and hers, and either range suits anyone. If you both want sizes from the same range, order the individual listings instead. What does the Celtic knot mean? The trinity knot is one unbroken line folded into three loops — no beginning, no end, no seam. It has stood for continuity and unity for over a thousand years.
