Celestron Dew Heater Ring, 11"

Keep Your Telescope Dew-Free with the Celestron Dew Heater Ring for 11" Telescopes The Celestron Dew Heater Ring is an essential accessory for astronomers, designed to efficiently prevent dew formation on the corrector lens of your 11" Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain (manufactured post-2006), EdgeHD, and RASA telescopes. This heater ring seamlessly integrates into your telescope, replacing the existing retaining ring, ensuring you're always prepared for clear, uninterrupted observations. Key Features: Efficient Dew Prevention: The heater ring directly heats the corrector lens, offering the most effective method to prevent dew accumulation, compared to other heating solutions that heat the lens cell. Permanent and Seamless Installation: Mounts permanently to your telescope tube, blending in for a cohesive look and eliminating the worry of forgetting it. Intelligent Temperature Monitoring: When used with Celestron Smart DewHeater Controllers, the integrated thermistor continuously checks the temperature of the corrector lens for optimal heating. Durable and Lightweight Construction: Made of rigid, lightweight aluminum, the ring is both durable and supportive of the telescope's corrector lens and cable circuitry. Cable Management Features: Includes a storage clip and cable management clip to keep power and thermistor jacks organized and secure, maintaining a tidy setup. Easy Setup and Use: Simply plug into a 12V DC external power source for consistent heat. The installation process is straightforward, with an included manual for guidance. Complete Package: Comes with the Dew Heater Ring, a cable management clip, power jack extension cable, and paper installation shield for a complete dew prevention system. Optimized Performance with Smart DewHeater Controller: For enhanced efficiency, pair with a Smart DewHeater Controller (sold separately), utilizing the ring’s thermistor and the controller’s sensors to adjust heating based on environmental conditions, thereby extending battery life. Recommended Addition of Dew Shield: While not mandatory, adding a dew shield further reduces the power needed by the Dew Heater Ring, ensuring clearer optics with less energy consumption. The Celestron Dew Heater Ring is a smart, efficient solution for avid astronomers looking to maintain clear and dew-free optics during extended observing or imaging sessions, making it an indispensable part of your celestial viewing equipment.   Specifications GENERAL Max Power: 30 watts Power Jack: 12V DC barrel connector, 5.5mm/2.1mm, tip positive Ring construction: Aluminum Power Jack extension cable: 6" long, 12V DC, 5.5mm/2.1mm barrel connector on one end, male RCA connector on other end, tip positive Thermistor Jack: 2.5mm audio jack, compatible with Celestron SmartHeat Dew Controllers Compatibility: 11" Schmidt-Cassegrain, EdgeHD, Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph (RASA) Dew Heater Ring Inner Diameter: 279.4mm (11") Dew Heater Ring Outer Diameter: 305.3mm (12.02") Weight: 4.69 oz (133.0 g) Solar Warning California Residents WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm - www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
