Tote Slide Pro Adjustable Ceiling Storage by CeilingSAM

CeilingSAM Tote Slide Pro (Adjustable) A Better Way to Store Storage Bins Without Using Floor Space If your garage is filled with storage totes stacked in corners or along the walls, the CeilingSAM Tote Slide Pro is designed to fix that. Instead of stacking bins on the floor or lifting them onto a traditional rack, this system allows you to store totes overhead on sliding rails. The result is a cleaner garage with more usable space and easier access to stored items. Designed to mount above your garage door or along ceiling joists, this system turns unused ceiling space into a dedicated storage area for bins, seasonal items, and gear. How This System Works Unlike a standard overhead rack, the Tote Slide Pro is built specifically for storage bins. Instead of placing bins on a platform, this system uses sliding rails that hold totes securely in place while allowing you to slide them in and out as needed. This gives you: • easier access compared to fixed racks • organized storage for multiple bins • no need to lift bins onto a platform • a cleaner and more efficient storage layout It’s a more practical solution if you primarily store items in totes. Why Choose This Over a Standard Rack Traditional overhead racks are great for bulky or mixed storage, but they are not always ideal for bins. This system is better when: • you store most items in plastic totes • you want easier access without climbing or lifting • you want to maximize space above your garage door • you prefer organized, separated storage instead of stacking Instead of piling bins on top of each other, each tote has its own space. Who This Is Best For This system is a great fit for: • homeowners storing seasonal items in bins • families with multiple storage totes • garages with limited floor space • anyone tired of stacking and unstacking bins • people looking for a more organized storage system If your current setup involves digging through stacked totes, this is a major upgrade. Common Uses Most customers use this system for: • holiday decorations • seasonal clothing and storage • camping and outdoor gear • tools and supplies stored in bins • backup household items By storing these items overhead, your garage becomes easier to use and maintain. Key Features • adjustable rail system for flexible installation • holds approximately 9 to 15 storage totes depending on configuration • 450 lb total weight capacity (recommended distributed load) • designed for use with standard 17-gallon and 27-gallon totes • smooth sliding rail design for easier access • modular and expandable system for larger setups • made in the USA with powder-coated steel construction Installation Notes This system is designed to be mounted into ceiling joists and is commonly installed above garage doors or along open ceiling space. Before installing, confirm: • joist spacing and mounting points • available ceiling clearance (typically 15"–18" depending on tote size) • garage door clearance • layout for easy access to bins Planning placement ahead of time helps maximize storage efficiency. What to Know Before You Buy This system is designed specifically for tote storage. Keep in mind: • totes are not included • recommended weight is about 30–35 lbs per tote for safe handling • weight should be distributed evenly across rails • ceiling structure must support installation If you’re storing heavier or irregular items, a traditional rack may be a better fit. This system works best for organized bin storage. Once they start stacking up, it becomes harder to find what you need and harder to keep the space organized. A system like this solves that by giving every tote its own position while keeping everything off the floor. That’s what turns a cluttered garage into a space that actually works.
