Cedar Raised Garden Bed with Greenhouse Cover

Overview This 3×3 Cedar Raised Garden Bed and Greenhouse Cover System brings together two dependable components: a handcrafted Timberlane Gardens cedar bed and a full-size cold frame cover designed to protect plants in unpredictable weather. This combination creates a controlled environment that supports early planting, extends the season, and keeps crops sheltered from frost, wind, and animals. Most gardeners struggle with cold snaps, inconsistent spring weather, or short growing seasons. This system removes that uncertainty. By pairing a real Select Cedar raised bed with a removable greenhouse cover, you gain a protected microclimate that helps seeds sprout faster, keeps transplants safe, and extends your harvest window without needing a permanent greenhouse. Soil planning for this raised bed This section is included to help you plan accurately so you purchase the right amount of soil the first time — no guessing and no wasted bags. If you are not sure how deep to fill this bed or what kind of mix to use, our Ultimate Raised Bed Soil Guide walks through soil depth, layering, drainage, top-offs, and real-world examples so you can build a mix that actually works in your climate. On this page, you will also find the interactive soil calculator just below this description. For this kit, the calculator is already set to our 3×3 raised bed (Double 3×3), 10 inches deep preset so you can see the correct soil volume and an estimate of how many standard store-bought bags of soil you will need. If you want to compare other layouts or sizes, you can change the preset in the dropdown or enter your own bed dimensions.
