The Pheasant Tail remains one of the most ubiquitously effective nymphs in all of fly fishing. Add a hot spot and a CDC collar and you've made an already deadly fly positively lethal! This matte beaded version is great when fish are shying away from flashier offerings. Here's what Fulling Mill has to say: " The stark pop of the matte black bead might imitate a small mayfly nymph that is about ready to emerge. Fish key in on those dark spots when it comes to mayfly nymphs and this pattern will certainly fill that role nicely."
