Here's a classic elk hair caddis with a little CDC added for flair and lively action on the water. CDC stands for Cul Du Canard - which are the feathers on the butt of a duck. The wispy feathers seen flowing off the body of this fly are coated in the oils that make the water flow off the feathers of a duck - thus keeping them dry and full of air bubbles on the water.
