Cayin RU7

The Cayin RU7 redefines portable audio performance by combining a fully balanced discrete 1-Bit DAC architecture with powerful headphone amplification in a compact device. Designed for audiophiles who want high-fidelity sound from their smartphones, laptops, or digital audio players, the RU7 delivers detailed, natural, and dynamic audio wherever you listen. With advanced resistor network conversion, balanced output power, and precision volume control, the RU7 transforms everyday devices into a true high-resolution music system. Discrete 1-Bit Resistor Network DAC At the heart of the RU7 lies a micro-miniaturized discrete 1-Bit DAC built from 128 high-precision thin-film resistors. This architecture closely mirrors the design used in Cayin’s flagship digital audio players. Unlike traditional integrated DAC chips, this resistor network design produces a more natural, analog-like sound signature, delivering greater musical realism, improved micro-detail, and a wider soundstage. Powerful Balanced Headphone Amplification RU7 integrates dual amplifier circuits operating in parallel, providing strong output power and improved channel separation. 160mW @ 32Ω (3.5mm single-ended output) 400mW @ 32Ω (4.4mm balanced output) This balanced architecture allows the RU7 to drive a wide range of IEMs and headphones while maintaining excellent clarity and dynamic headroom. Precision 100-Step Volume Control To ensure accurate volume adjustment across different headphones, RU7 features Cayin’s custom 100-step low-noise volume control system. This precise control enables smooth adjustments without sacrificing signal quality, making it ideal for both sensitive in-ear monitors and more demanding headphones. Dual PCB Circuit Design for Cleaner Audio RU7 uses a dual-PCB architecture with two independent six-layer boards, separating digital and analog processing. This design prevents interference between circuits and ensures that the reference clock and digital processing stages remain isolated from the amplification circuitry, resulting in cleaner sound with lower distortion and noise. Efficient Power Consumption Despite its advanced discrete DAC architecture, RU7 remains highly efficient, drawing approximately 100mA of power from connected devices. This allows the DAC to deliver high-quality sound while minimizing battery drain when used with smartphones or portable devices. Wide Device Compatibility The Cayin RU7 works seamlessly across multiple platforms, making it a versatile portable audio solution. Compatible devices include: Android smartphones and tablets iPhone and iPad (with adapter) Windows PCs (Windows 7–11) macOS computers Digital Audio Players with USB audio output This broad compatibility ensures the RU7 can easily integrate into almost any portable or desktop listening setup. Ultra-Portable Design Weighing only 25 grams, the RU7 is built for effortless portability without compromising performance. Its compact design fits easily into pockets, bags, or mobile setups. The included handcrafted leather protective case provides additional durability while maintaining the device’s sleek and premium aesthetic. Integrated magnetic attachments allow convenient placement on a smartphone or nearby surfaces for easier everyday use.
