Cayin iHA-8 | Desktop Headphone Amplifier

Cayin iHA-8 is a High Power High Current Headphone Amplifier Designed to Deliver Exceptional Audio Fidelity and Versatility Fully Balanced Pure Class A headphone amplifier Hyper Mode feature enhances power and dynamics Employs special circuit design with a 4-channel discrete MOSFET configuration 75W Toroidal transformer and 50,000uF Nichicon capacitors ensures stable power delivery Pure Class A Headphone Amplification The iHA-8 employs a four-channel discrete pure Class A buffer circuit with low-noise TI Op-Amps and dual Toshiba JFETs per channel, ensuring lower noise, reduced distortion, enhanced current output, and stronger driving power. Powered by Vishay MOSFETs in a three-stage pure Class A design, it features a DC offset servo for 0V output stability and adaptive circuits for optimized performance, delivering an exceptional listening experience. Ultimate Hyper Mode Hyper Mode unlocks the peak performance of the headphone amplification circuit by fine-tuning the static operating current and voltage in the pure Class A state. This enhancement boosts both output power and gain while maintaining the integrity of Class A operation. The result is a more pristine, transparent sound with a dynamic, well-defined soundstage that elevates your listening experience to new heights. Volume Control with Precision The volume control circuit combines a custom ALPS step potentiometer with a pair of high-end 130-step electronic volume chips, JRC MUSES72320V. Although electronically managed, the volume adjustment occurs entirely in the analog domain. This meticulous design offers a refined tactile experience, ensuring stable, accurate, and highly precise volume control for exceptional audio quality. Promising Power Supply The iHA-8 incorporates carefully selected premium components, perfectly complementing its advanced engineering for optimal performance: 70W high-power, low magnetic leakage toroidal power transformer for robust and stable power delivery. 50,000uF Nichicon main filter capacitor to ensure smooth and consistent power filtering. BYV79E ultra-fast recovery rectifier diodes to minimize noise and enhance efficiency. The headphone amplifier circuit features a four-channel high-dynamic, high-current discrete linear voltage stabilizing design. To further enhance performance, the voltage amplification and HeadAmp output stages are independently powered. Additionally, a dedicated secondary enhanced voltage stabilizing circuit powers the JFET input buffer amplifier, volume controller, and other audio circuits, ensuring precise and clean audio reproduction. Compact and Versatile The iHA-8 joins the Cayin i-series lineup, sharing a cohesive design language with the iDAC-8 and the iDAP-8 headphone amplifier. Each product functions seamlessly on its own or can be combined to create a unified audio system. Compact and thoughtfully designed, the iHA-8 fits effortlessly into any home audio or desktop setup. Its L-shaped aluminum cover plate is crafted with precision mold extrusion, CNC machining, fine sandblasting, and an anodized finish, offering a sleek and uniform texture that is both stylish and durable. The ridged heat sink panels on the sides not only enhance the streamers’s aesthetic appeal but also improve heat dissipation by increasing surface area for better airflow. This optimized thermal performance ensures the iHA-8 operates at peak efficiency for the best possible audio output. Additional Features Three Inputs The iHA-8 offers versatile connectivity with three input options to accommodate popular headphone types: 6.35mm Single-Ended, 4.4mm Balanced, and 4-pin XLR Balanced. Dual Inputs Seamlessly connect with CD players, desktop decoders, portable players, and other audio sources with Line-level output using XLR or RCA connectors. Comprehensive Protection A monolithic protector IC ensures the amplifier’s safety by providing output DC detection, power-on delay squelch, power-off noise cancellation, and overcurrent/overload protection.
