Cayin HA-6A MK2

Cayin HA-6A MK2 | Desktop Tube Headphone Amplifier Pure • Musical • Refined The Cayin HA-6A MK2 is a high-end single-ended Class A tube headphone amplifier that blends traditional vacuum tube warmth with cutting-edge engineering. Designed for audiophiles who value purity, dynamics, and tonal richness, the HA-6A MK2 delivers up to 4500mW per channel—enough power to drive even the most demanding headphones with authority and finesse. Built with an outboard power supply, upgraded amplification circuitry, and premium Genalex Gold Lion KT88 tubes, the HA-6A MK2 achieves remarkable sonic integrity, low distortion, and a velvety smooth presentation that embodies the soul of analog sound. Engineered for Pure Performance A dual-chassis design isolates the amplification circuit from the power supply, ensuring lower noise and greater clarity. Each tube stage has its own regulated circuit, delivering clean, stable power for maximum fidelity. The custom silver-plated copper umbilical cable provides lossless current transfer for a quieter, darker background. Upgraded Amplification Circuitry Cayin redesigned the amplification circuit with high-quality components and enhanced driving power for wide headphone compatibility. The improved design delivers superior transparency, speed, and dynamics—ideal for both low-impedance IEMs and high-end planar magnetic headphones. Tube Complement High-Voltage Rectifier: Two JJ GZ34 / 5AR4 rectifier tubes provide stable and responsive current. Voltage Amplification Stage: Dual JJ 12AU7 / ECC82 triodes ensure high signal gain and fine detail retrieval. Single-Ended Class A Power Stage: A matched pair of Genalex KT88 output tubes reproduce rich, natural tonality and emotional depth. Impedance-Matched Headphone Output In-house output transformers offer impedance-matched outputs for: Low (8–64Ω) Mid (65–250Ω) High (251–600Ω) With 6.35mm, 4.4mm balanced, and 4-pin XLR headphone jacks, the HA-6A MK2 delivers up to 4500mW per channel in UL mode. Sensitive IEMs benefit from optimized 4.4mm output for ultra-low noise and improved S/N ratio. Dual Operation Modes Switch between two unique sonic profiles: Triode Mode: Smooth, warm, and harmonically rich for an intimate listening experience. Ultralinear Mode: More dynamic and extended, offering precise transients and a stronger low end. More Than a Headphone Amplifier The dedicated PRE-OUT allows the HA-6A MK2 to serve as a tube preamplifier, seamlessly integrating into desktop or small Hi-Fi setups with active speakers or power amplifiers.
