CattleZen Maternal Bovine Appeasing Substance

Solvet CattleZen Maternal Bovine Appeasing Substance is a topical liquid applied to cattle and calves for a natural calming effect. CattleZen contains two active ingredients, a bovine appeasing substance and 2M2B calming pheromone blend for a fast-acting and sustained calming effect. This patented blend of two pheromones mimics naturally occurring pheromones which are secreted by the skin of the mammary gland in lactating cattle to provide a soothing, calming effect by minimizing the recognition of stress. Once applied to the skin above the muzzle, the calming pheromones are inhaled by the animal. The synthetic analogue pheromone blend stimulates the vomeronasal gland, desensitizing the regions of the amygdala and the hypothalamus areas in the brain to decrease the perception of threat when cattle are exposed to a stressful situation. Ideal for use in dairy operations during weaning, dehorning, banding and castration, branding, and vaccination. Use in beef operations during commingling, transport/arrival, processing, implanting, vaccination, and sorting. Reduces threat perception, making cattle more susceptible to handling while mitigating the negative effects stress can cause during routine cattle procedures. The reduction of threat perception supports reduced flight behavior, lower levels of cortisol, decreased inflammation for maximized performance, and reduced morbidity and mortality. Add CattleZen to your routine animal handling procedures for healthier, calmer calves and increased cattle handler safety. Apply with CattleZen Applicator. Add to List Add to List
