Cats

"Cats" offers a captivating journey into the feline world through the lens of Walter Chandoha, the pioneering pet photographer who, on a winter's night in 1949, discovered his muse in a stray kitten named Loco. Chandoha's enchanting images, capturing the charm and character of cats, marked the beginning of a seven-decade career that influenced animal portraiture. From glamorous studio portraits to street photography, vintage cat shows, and heartwarming pictures of children with cats, this collection showcases Chandoha's masterful technique and genuine affection for these furry subjects. "Cats" is a tribute to both the enchanting creatures and the remarkable photographer whose work has left an enduring impact on the genre.
