Catori

The Catori Rug brings sculptural dimension to geometric design through the enduring artistry of hand-knotting. Handcrafted in Nepal from 100% wool, its plush construction creates a richly tactile surface, while an 80-knot-per-square-inch weave lends precision and depth to the pattern. A sophisticated geometric composition unfolds through layered blocks, linear forms, and subtly shifting tonal fields. The interplay of structured shapes and softly varied color creates a sense of movement across the surface, while the plush wool pile gives the geometry a dimensional, almost architectural quality. The result is a contemporary expression that feels both graphic and inviting. The natural character of wool enhances the design with warmth and textural depth, while the hand-knotted construction ensures that every rug possesses its own individual expression. Variations in knot density, texture, color, and design are inherent to the craft and celebrated as part of the rug's artisanal character. Available with full custom options, Catori can be tailored to the scale, palette, and character of the space while preserving its distinctive geometric sensibility.
