Catholics in the kitchen

"Know that even when you are in the kitchen, God moves amidst the pots and pans." With these words of St. Teresa of Avila as its inspiration, Catholic Cooking: Recipes and Stories from the Faithful Table celebrates the rich relationship between the Catholic faith, hospitality, and the shared meal. More than simply a cookbook, it invites families to rediscover the home as a domestic church where meals become opportunities for gratitude, fellowship, and joyful communion. Gathering recipes and personal stories from faithful Catholics across a wide range of cultures and vocations—including farmers, ranchers, chefs, priests, professors, parents, and grandparents—this unique collection reflects the beauty and diversity of the universal Church. From beloved family recipes to reflections on faith and tradition, each page encourages readers to see cooking not merely as a daily task, but as an expression of Christian love, generosity, and stewardship.
