Catch Can Kit, PCV, GM LS2/LS3/LS7 Engine, Fluid Lock

20-0260-FL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 20-0785-FL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Radium Engineering catch cans feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick. These kits include everything needed for a complete installation. The catch can is plumbed in-line with a PCV valve and draws out oil and water condensation from the crankcase gasses that would otherwise be drawn into the intake manifold. Furthermore, the closed system prevents unwanted oil vapors from entering into the cabin.  FEATURES -Effectively raises the octane and increased engine performance from cleaner inlet air -Prevents oil buildup in the intake or intercooler system walls, throttle body, intake manifold, etc. -Excessive oil collection can be an indicator of a damaged engine. -Lowers hydrocarbon emissions -Capacity: 7 fluid ounces 20-0260-FL CATCH CAN KIT, PCV, GM LS1/LS6 ENGINE, FLUID LOCK The anodized aluminum catch can bracket mounts to the front RH side of the cylinder head.  COMPATIBILITY GM LS1 Gen III Engine GM LS6 Gen III Engine Use 20-0785-FL instead for the following Gen IV engines: LS2, LS3 and LS7. Make sure your engine has the necessary clearance in the catch can mounting area before ordering. Consult the installation instructions for more details. Some engine setups may not be compatible due to extra belt-driven accessories (such as an aftermarket supercharger).  This catch can routes inline with the OEM PCV valve found on Gen III engines. INCLUDES -Baffled oil catch can with integrated condenser and dipstick -Anodized aluminum mounting bracket -Anodized aluminum 6AN hose ends  -Anodized Aluminum 6AN fittings   -Stainless steel mounting hardware   -3/8" PCV rubber hose  -Spring clamps 20-0785-FL CATCH CAN KIT, PCV, GM LS2/LS3/LS7 ENGINE, FLUID LOCK The anodized aluminum catch can bracket mounts to the front RH side of the cylinder head.  COMPATIBILITY GM LS2 Gen IV Engine GM LS3 Gen IV Engine GM LS7 Gen IV Engine Use 20-0260-FL instead for the following Gen III engines: LS1 and LS6. Make sure your engine has the necessary clearance in the catch can mounting area before ordering. Consult the installation instructions for more details. Some engine setups may not be compatible due to extra belt-driven accessories (such as an aftermarket supercharger).  Starting in 2004 with the Gen IV LS engines, General Motors replaced the PCV valve with a 2.5mm fixed orifice. This move was, presumably, to save production costs and eliminate a serviceable part.  NOTE: A PCV valve serves a few purposes in the crankcase; promote negative pressure and prevent boost pressure. Also, in the event of a backfire, the PCV valve prevents combustible vapors from igniting in the crankcase. The PCV catch can kit improves the performance of the Gen IV LS crankcase ventilation system. The catch can runs inline between the PCV valve and the intake manifold. When the intake manifold pressure is close to or greater than atmospheric pressure, the PCV "check" valve closes and, thus, this hose experiences no flow. Conversely, the PCV hoses will experience "metered" vacuum when the engine is idling, steady state cruising, and decelerating. This would normally draw unwanted crankcase vapor, unspent fuel, and oil sludge into the intake manifold immediately after a high load run. Because the OEM 2.5mm orifice port is restrictive, a replacement baffled oil cap is included to draw as much blowby from the crankcase as possible. Shown below is an A/T Grand Sport Corvette LS3 install. Notice how the baffled oil cap sits above the RH engine cover on wet sump engines. Shown below is an Z06 Corvette LS7 install. Notice how the baffled oil cap sits underneath the RH engine cover on dry sump engines. This PCV catch can kit is compatible with both wet and dry sump engines. INCLUDES -Baffled oil catch can with integrated condenser and dipstick -Anodized aluminum mounting bracket -Anodized aluminum baffled oil cap -Anodized aluminum PCV valve -SAE quick connect fittings -Stainless mounting hardware   -3/8" PCV rubber hose  -Spring clamps -Rubber caps
