Petpost Cat Ear Cleaner - Natural Coconut Oil & Aloe Drops - Alcohol-Free, Non-Stinging Solution for Wax, Dirt & Odor - Helps Prevent Ear Mites - 8 oz

Cats don't like having their ears touched. They especially don't like having drops put into them, or having something rubbed inside. So when your cat starts shaking their head, scratching obsessively at one ear, or that unmistakable musky smell appears — you know you have to do something, but you also know it's going to be a fight. Petpost Cat Ear Cleaner is built to take some of that fight out of the process. The non-stinging, naturally derived formula uses coconut oil to gently break down wax and aloe vera to soothe the irritated skin underneath. No alcohol, no medications, nothing that's going to make your cat associate ear cleaning with pain. Within a few sessions, most cats stop running when they see the bottle. Why cat owners love it Non-stinging, alcohol-free formula: Unlike harsh ear cleaners that burn sensitive ear tissue, this naturally derived blend cleans without any sting — so your cat actually tolerates the routine. Coconut oil and aloe vera: Coconut oil breaks down wax and dirt buildup, while aloe vera soothes the irritated, sore skin that comes from chronic scratching or mild ear issues. Medication-free and chemical-free: No antibiotics, no harsh chemicals, no synthetic medications. Safe for daily use on kittens, seniors, and cats with sensitive ears. Reduces head shaking and scratching: Most cats show visible improvement in head-shaking and ear scratching within 2 to 5 days of daily use. Helps prevent ear mites: Clean ears are an inhospitable environment for mites. Regular cleaning helps prevent infestations before they require medical treatment. Plant-based and naturally derived: Every ingredient is naturally sourced, making this safe even if your cat licks the surrounding fur after cleaning. Made in the USA: Crafted in small US batches with naturally derived ingredients and recyclable packaging. What makes Petpost different Cat ear cleaners are a much smaller category than dog ear cleaners, and most products on the market are either dog cleaners with different labeling (too harsh for cat ears) or weak "natural" formulas that don't actually clean. vs. alcohol-based ear cleaners: No stinging on sensitive cat ear tissue. Won't make your cat fight you next time. vs. medicated drops: No vet prescription needed, no antibiotic concerns, safe for daily long-term use. vs. dog ear cleaners used on cats: Specifically formulated for the sensitivity of feline ear skin. vs. cotton balls with water: Active cleaning ingredients that actually break down wax and reduce odor. How to use Step 1 — Get your cat used to the routine first. Before you start cleaning, do 3 to 4 "prep sessions" over a few days. Bring your cat to where you'll be doing the cleaning, let them sniff the bottle, give vigorous ear rubs, and finish with treats. By the third or fourth session, many cats actually come running when they hear the bottle. Step 2 — Shake the bottle. Some of the active ingredients like coconut oil settle to the bottom. Step 3 — Apply to a cotton pad. Take a fresh cotton pad and apply enough solution to thoroughly clean the area. Don't pour the solution directly into the ear canal. Step 4 — Wipe from outside in. Start with the outside of the ear flap and work your way slowly inward. Never push the cotton pad deep into the ear canal — you can push wax deeper and cause damage. Just clean what you can see. Step 5 — Fresh pad for the other ear. Always use a clean cotton pad for the second ear to avoid transferring wax or bacteria between ears. Repeat daily for 2 to 5 days when actively cleaning, then move to weekly maintenance. Some cats with chronic ear issues benefit from continued daily cleaning. Ingredients Water, disodium coco-glucoside citrate, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, glycerin, coconut oil, fragrance, phenoxyethanol. Every ingredient is naturally derived. No alcohol, no antibiotics, no parabens, no sulfates, no artificial dyes. Frequently asked questions How often should I clean my cat's ears? For active issues, daily for 2 to 5 days. For maintenance, weekly is plenty for most cats. Cats with chronic ear issues or breeds with hairy ear canals (like Persians) may benefit from more frequent cleaning. What if my cat has an active ear infection? See your vet first. This cleaner is for routine cleaning and prevention, not for treating active infections. After the infection clears, this cleaner is excellent for preventing recurrence. Can I use it on kittens? Yes, for kittens 8 weeks and older. Use a smaller amount and be extra gentle. What about ear mites? Regular cleaning helps prevent mite infestations and supports recovery after vet-prescribed mite treatment. For an active mite infestation, see your vet — you need anti-parasitic medication, not just cleaning. Will my cat actually tolerate this? The non-stinging formula makes a huge difference. Most cats who fought alcohol-based cleaners settle into a routine with this one within a week. The prep sessions before the first cleaning are key. How long does the bottle last? For one cat with weekly maintenance: 12+ months. With daily cleaning during active issues: 2 to 3 months.
