CAT and Perkins diagnostics cable

Jaltest CAT and Perkins Diagnostics Cable (JDC505A) The JDC505A is the genuine Cojali Jaltest diagnostic cable for Caterpillar (CAT) and Perkins engines — two of the most common diesel engine platforms in construction, agricultural, and stationary power equipment worldwide. CAT engines power everything from excavators and dozers to generators and marine applications. Perkins engines are the backbone of hundreds of equipment brands including Massey Ferguson tractors, JCB backhoes, and countless generator sets. This cable is included in three separate Jaltest cable kits — AGV, OHW, and Marine Stationary Engines — which tells you how broadly applicable it is across different shop types. What This Cable Does The JDC505A connects the Jaltest Link interface to CAT and Perkins engines for full ECU-level diagnostics via Jaltest software. It serves dual duty across agricultural, off-highway, and stationary engine applications wherever CAT or Perkins power is under the hood. Compatible Engines: Caterpillar (CAT) engines and Perkins engines Applications: Construction equipment, agricultural machinery, stationary generators, and marine stationary engines Diagnostic Functions: Read and clear fault codes, live data monitoring, actuator tests, DPF regens, cylinder cut-out tests, and all other Jaltest-supported CAT/Perkins functions Compatible Platforms: Jaltest AGV, Jaltest OHW, Jaltest Marine Included In: Jaltest AGV USA Cable Kit (70002013, $795), Jaltest OHW USA Cable Kit (70002031, $795), and Jaltest Marine Stationary Engines Cable Kit (70002006, $570) Genuine Cojali Part: OEM manufactured — not an aftermarket cable Part Number: JDC505A MSRP: $210.00 (2025 Cojali USA Pricelist) CAT and Perkins Coverage in Jaltest Caterpillar is one of Jaltest's featured brands for OHW coverage — explicitly called out alongside John Deere, Volvo, and other leading OHW names in Cojali's own marketing. Dealer-level CAT capabilities through Jaltest OHW include DPF regenerations, cylinder cut-out tests, injector coding, and parameter access. Perkins, as a Caterpillar subsidiary, falls under this same coverage umbrella. The JDC505A is the physical cable that opens up this diagnostic access. Who Needs This Cable Construction equipment shops, CAT dealerships and independent shops, agricultural service facilities working on Perkins-powered Massey Ferguson and AGCO equipment, generator service companies, and marine shops doing stationary engine work. Because this cable spans AGV, OHW, and Marine applications, it is one of the highest-value individual Jaltest cables — once you have it, it works across multiple equipment categories.
