Cast Iron Waffle Iron

Make weekends memorable with real waffles and a pan that tells a story. Hand-poured in Sweden from solid cast iron, this heirloom waffle iron is built to outlast electric gadgets and is made for unhurried mornings or fireside breakfasts. Its two-piece design locks in heat, turning simple batter into waffles with the right balance of crisp edges and soft centers. The classic 4-heart design, or hjärtvåffla, is rooted in Swedish tradition. A meaningful shape that celebrates shared meals and quiet mornings. It's triple-seasoned for a naturally slick surface that releases waffles easily. Long, looped cast iron handles offer a secure grip and safe control over heat, making it easy to flip.  We invite you to visit our Skeppshult FAQ Page, where you'll find more information about the company, as well as comprehensive use and care instructions.  Shop our entire selection of Skeppshult Cast Iron Cookware for more styles and sizes. The extra-thick base gives excellent contact and stability, especially on induction. Medium heat is best. Cast iron retains heat so well that there’s rarely a need to go high. Let your pan preheat gradually for even, beautiful results. Care: No seasoning required—Skeppshult pots come pre-seasoned and ready to cook. Clean with warm water and a soft brush or cloth. There's no need for soap, but a small drop of mild dish soap is okay if needed. Avoid soaking the pot or using harsh detergents, steel wool, or the dishwasher. Try the BBQ-AID Chain Mail Scrubber for stuck-on bits.  Dry thoroughly after washing to prevent rust. Lightly oil after drying if you like, though it’s optional. To refresh the seasoning, heat the pot, rub in a thin layer of oil, and let it smoke gently on the stovetop for a few minutes. No oven needed. Further Reading:  Every Skeppshult pan is made by hand in the same small village where the company began in 1906. Tucked away in Småland, Southern Sweden, the factory handles every step of production in-house, including pouring, finishing, seasoning, and inspecting. No shortcuts. No outsourcing. Just honest craftsmanship. Not sure how to pronounce it? It’s Shep-sult—the name of the village, and the company that’s proudly called it home for over a century. Skeppshult products come with a 25-year warranty. Please note: warranty claims must be made directly with the manufacturer. Boston General Store is not able to process warranty claims on behalf of customers.
