Casper Cloud One Mattress

The softer Casper: the plushness of Core+ over the support of The One The Casper Cloud One is the medium-soft member of Casper's all-foam family: eleven inches, the same open-cell breathable comfort foam and cradling memory foam as The One, sitting over the all-new patent-pending Casper Core+ base. Core+ is where the softness comes from: it uses foam pillars built into the core to deliver a boost of plushness, so the surface gives more and cushions deeper while still carrying the support and breathability of The One. It is the bed for the shopper who likes a true medium's support but wishes the top gave a little more. Softer, but not unsupported "Medium-soft" can mean "no support" on a lesser bed. Not here. The cradling memory foam keeps you aligned at the shoulders and hips, the patent-pending Core+ technology creates pockets of relief so pressure has somewhere to go, and the foam pillars in the core are the floor that keeps a soft surface from turning into a sag. The result is a plush first feel that still puts your spine where it belongs. If soft beds have left your back sore before, that combination is the part worth testing in person. What you notice lying on it The difference from The One shows up right at the surface. The top gives sooner and cradles more, so your shoulder and hip settle in rather than perch on top. Roll to your side and the memory foam does its quiet job: the body sinks where it should, the pockets of relief take the pressure off, and there is no hard bottom because the Core+ pillars catch you first. The comfort foams are open-cell and built to prevent overheating, so the extra cushion does not sleep warm the way older memory foam did. And because every layer is foam, a restless partner's turns stay on their side instead of crossing to yours, which you notice every night if you share the bed or sleep light. Who it suits, and who it doesn't Side sleepers are the headline fit, the softer surface letting the shoulder and hip sink in while the cradling foam keeps the spine aligned. Softer-feel seekers who find a true medium a touch firm get the more cushioned version of the same Casper recipe, and lighter-weight sleepers tend to settle into the plush top without bottoming out. Back sleepers who want a softer feel are still carried by the Core+ base while getting more give than The One. The honest exception: heavier sleepers, or anyone who likes to feel firmly on top of the bed, will usually be happier on the firmer One or the coil support of the Dream. That is a fit question, not a quality one, and the floor team would rather point you to the right bed than sell you the soft one. Cloud One or One? If you want a balanced, do-everything medium, the Casper One is firmer and more universal. If you want coils and bounce, the Casper Dream is the hybrid, with more airflow. The Cloud One is the plush all-foam pick of the Casper lineup: quiet, contouring, and the softest of the three, with the Core+ pillars doing the softening. Because everyone on the Mattress Overstock floor is paid the same no matter which one you choose, the comparison you get is an honest one. Living with it, and trying it The Cloud One sits eleven inches tall, so standard fitted sheets fit fine, and it does not need a special foundation: a platform, a slatted base with roughly three-inch gaps or less, a solid foundation, or an adjustable base all work. It is fiberglass-free, designed and assembled in the USA, and built for a decade of durability under Casper's 10-year limited warranty, honored on every bed Mattress Overstock sells as an authorized dealer. Soft is personal, and the only way to know if medium-soft is your number is to lie on it next to the medium. Both are on the floor across the five Mattress Overstock showrooms (Lexington on Nicholasville Road, Richmond, Georgetown, London, and Somerset), set up side by side, no appointment needed. Mattress Overstock has been an independent Kentucky retailer since 2012: the 100-night trial holds at full length when you buy from a local dealer, free delivery and setup are included across the Kentucky service area, and the old mattress leaves with the team.
