Casein

Casein Reimagined. If you’re looking to build or sustain lean muscle, you’re most likely already taking a protein supplement. However, there is a plethora of protein powders out there, which might make it confusing. And, different kinds do different things. For example, whey proteins are great for replenishing protein rapidly to support protein synthesis in the body after a workout. Other protein powders provide a combination of fast-absorbing and slow-absorbing proteins. Casein, on the other hand, is a very unique protein (and a must-have in your supplement arsenal, in our opinion). It has a slow absorption rate, which means it breaks down slowly in the digestive system (some even call it a “sustained-release” protein). Casein is considered a complete source of protein, meaning it contains all the essential amino acids needed for muscle growth and repair. Understanding Casein If you understand the science behind casein protein, you’re most likely already taking it before you go to sleep at night. If you don’t already know or understand, it’s simple. Because of its slow-digesting/sustained-release capability, casein is considered a great option before bed or any time you’re going to go long hours without food or protein. (We’re not talking about bulking up, ladies, so don’t worry.) Remember, the more lean muscle you have, the higher your resting metabolic rate, which means you burn more calories while at rest. Plus, lean muscle just looks better on the body. 27g of 100%-micellar casein per serving Now that you know what casein does, it’s time to say hello to CASEIN by EVOchem Nutrition®. This powerhouse protein, which has truly set the bar when it comes to flavor, features 27g of 100%-micellar casein per serving with only 3 carbs, and 1g of fat. If you’re not new to casein, then you know the struggle of finding one that actually tastes good. Most accept casein protein for its benefits and resign themselves to dealing with its not-so-great flavor options. But that wasn’t good enough for EVOchem Nutrition®. 2 Satisfying Flavors If you’re new to Casein protein, please understand that you’re not buying it for taste. You’re buying it for the benefits. We're not saying it's unpleasant, it’s simply different from whey-based protein powders. In fact, since most take it before bed due to its slow absorption rate, many will add natural peanut butter or almond butter because of the good fats. If you’ve tasted other Casein products on the market, you may think that EVOchem’s Casein tastes great. And with two incredible flavors to choose from – Chocolate Coconut and Vanilla Sweet Cream – CASEIN by EVOchem® is not only satisfying, but it definitely fills a void in Nutrishop’s protein powder lineup. It has become the “before-bedtime shake” of choice for many, and for good reason. If you’re serious about the ROI on your workouts or you just want some insurance for the lean muscle you already have, consider adding CASEIN to your night-time routine.
