Casa Blanca Oriental Lily

Casa Blanca Oriental Lily (Lilium 'Casa Blanca')Casa Blanca Oriental Lily delivers dramatic, pure white blooms with a strong fragrance that makes summer evenings feel like an event. Tall, upright stems rise above the border, adding instant structure and a clean, polished look. The flowers are show-stopping in the garden and just as impressive in a vase, filling a room with scent. If you want a classic lily that feels elegant, bold, and easy to appreciate from across the yard, this one is a standout. Distinctive FeaturesThis Oriental lily produces very large, outward-facing white flowers with a rich fragrance, typically blooming in mid to late summer. Stems are sturdy and upright with narrow, dark green leaves, and flowers open in sequence for a longer display. The overall habit is vertical and clump-forming, making it ideal for adding height without bulk. Mature size is commonly about 3 to 4 feet tall and about 10 to 12 inches wide. Growing Conditions Sun: Full sun to part shade, with best flowering in full sun. Soil: Well-drained, moderately fertile soil that stays evenly moist, and avoid heavy, waterlogged sites. Water: Medium, keep consistently moist during active growth and blooming. Zones: USDA Zones 4 to 8. Notable Traits: Highly fragrant, excellent cut flower, and true lilies are toxic to cats if ingested. Ideal Uses Focal Point: Plant a small group as a focal point so the tall stems and glowing white blooms create a clear midsummer highlight. Back of Border: Use behind mounding perennials to add height and a clean vertical line without blocking the view. Cut Flower Gardens: Grow in a dedicated row for long-lasting, fragrant stems that elevate simple arrangements. Containers: Plant in large pots for a refined patio feature, using a deep container and sharp drainage. Low Maintenance Care Mulching: Mulch to keep roots cool and moisture steady, keeping mulch off the crown. Watering: Water during dry spells, especially as buds form and flowers open. Staking: Stake in windy locations to protect tall stems and heavy blooms. Cleanup: Let foliage yellow naturally after bloom, then cut stems back once leaves have fully declined. Why Choose Casa Blanca Oriental Lily? Pure White Impact: Large white flowers create a crisp, elegant look that pairs with any color palette. Fragrance: Strong scent adds an extra layer of enjoyment in the garden and indoors. Vertical Structure: Typically reaches about 3 to 4 feet tall for instant height and presence. Cut Flower Quality: Stems hold well in arrangements and make a simple bouquet feel elevated. Casa Blanca Oriental Lily looks best when repeated, letting the upright stems create rhythm and a clear seasonal peak in the border. Pair it with lower, mounding perennials and fine-textured grasses to keep the planting balanced and layered. Give it sun, drainage, and steady moisture during active growth, and it will return with stronger clumps over time. If you want a classic white lily with fragrance and real garden presence, this is a dependable choice.
