Carpet Crawler

Carpet Crawler  Designed and tied by Dirty Loaf, the Carpet Crawler was created for anglers targeting wary carp in shallow water. Built with FINATICS Marabou and FINATICS Bead Chain Eyes, this pattern imitates the small aquatic forage carp encounter every day, including leeches, aquatic worms, damselfly nymphs, and other bottom-dwelling food sources. The marabou wing pulses and breathes with the slightest movement, creating a lifelike presentation that remains effective even when the fly is sitting nearly motionless on the bottom. The lightweight bead chain eyes provide just enough weight to get the fly into the feeding zone without creating the heavy splash that often spooks shallow-water fish. This makes the Carpet Crawler especially effective for sight-fishing situations where precise presentations matter. While originally designed for carp, the Carpet Crawler's buggy profile also makes it a productive choice for bass, panfish, and bonefish feeding on small crustaceans and aquatic forage.
