Carpenter Bee Control Kit

Get everything you need to control carpenter bees with our Carpenter Bee Control Kit. The kit is an all-in-one solution to tackling your carpenter bee problem, from our Turbo Traps 2.0 with Bee Vault to bee bait, natural carpenter bee repellent, and a bug zapper to rid your home of carpenter bees. Why We Love It: Carpenter bees would rather move into an existing nest than build a new one. If they have access to old nests, they will ignore your carpenter bee trap. To direct new bees toward your trap, you’ll need to seal old nesting sites and offer a strong incentive not to return. Breaking the nesting cycle increases the likelihood of luring carpenter bees directly into your trap. That’s why you need our Total Bee-Fense Carpenter Bee Kit! (2) Professional-grade Turbo Traps 2.0 with Bee Vault  A trap with an internal four-chamber Turbo funnel 2.0 with Bee Vault retains more bees, while large viewports enable easier monitoring. Increased aeration and larger capacity of this professional-grade trap will protect your home from stubborn carpenter bee infestations. (1) Tube of Bee-Licious Bee Bait Our proprietary formula was specifically developed to mimic the pheromones of carpenter bees. That means more bees in your trap and fewer bees drilling holes in your home. (1) Bottle of Citrus Spray Our effective, naturally derived citrus spray, made from citronella and lemongrass essential oils, helps deter even the most persistent carpenter bees, which hate the smell of citrus. (1) Bug Zapper Racket This sturdy racket can deliver a powerful shock not just to overly aggressive carpenter bees, but also to bothersome mosquitoes, flies and other irritating insects. How to Use Your Kit: The components of your Best Carpenter Bee Control Kit work together for complete protection from carpenter bees. Follow these steps to get the most out of your kit and keep these pests from doing costly damages to your property. Best Carpenter Bee Trap and Bee-Licious Bee Bait Step One: Add Bee-Licious Bee Bait to your Turbo Trap 2.0 with Bee Vault Our traps work great alone, but you can jump-start the process of catching pesky carpenter bees with our carpenter bee trap bait. To add your Bee-Licious Bee Bait, apply a dime-sized amount to the plastic Bee-Licious Bee Bait Cup of each trap. We’re really proud of all the science that’s gone into developing our proprietary Bee-Licious Bee Bait formula – and we’re even more proud of the results our customers have shared with us! But no amount of bee attractant will help if your trap isn’t in the right place. Be sure to follow the steps below for installing your trap for best results. Step Two: Hang Your Turbo Traps 2.0 with Bee Vault Each Turbo Trap 2.0 with Bee Vault includes a metal clasp, 9 ft. pull cord and a pull ring to quickly and efficiently empty the spring-loaded release door. Minimal assembly required makes installing it a breeze.  Our field-testing has proven that carpenter bee traps are more effective when hung up high in areas that receive plenty of sunlight. That’s why eaves and roof overhangs make great placement options for Best Bee Brothers traps. If you plan to use both traps in the Carpenter Bee Control Kit at the same time, be sure to give them some breathing room. We recommend about 15 ft. between traps for best use. Looking to mount the trap? Use the two pre-drilled holes in the roof. Step Three: Inspect Your Home for Carpenter Bee Damage Finally, to ensure the best trap experience, we suggest inspecting the wooden structures around your home for carpenter bee damage. Carpenter bees prefer  existing nests if they can find them, so looking for and plugging any carpenter bee holes will help direct bees to your trap and is one of the best ways you can support your trap system. Not sure what to plug a carpenter bee hole with? Try our Hand Dipped Wooden Corks!  Citrus Spray Point, aim and shoot – simple, right? Using your citrus spray doesn’t have to be complicated. Reapplying a generous coat to your outdoor furniture, railings or other wooden surfaces every few days during carpenter bee season will offer the maximum amount of protection. There’s one exception: DO NOT apply citrus spray to your carpenter bee traps. Please also note that while our citrus spray contains naturally derived ingredients, this product is not intended for direct application on skin. Bug Zapper Racket To use the Bug Zapper Racket, simply slide the power switch to the “On” position to engage the standard power level. If you’re looking for a little bit more oomph, flip the switch up one more level to increase the shock power. Once a target is located, press the activation button on the side of the handle to power the metal netting. Release the activation button when not actively seeking targets. The Bug Zapper Racket is rechargeable. To charge, simply slide the power switch to the “Off” position. A full charge requires 6–8 hours of charging. Once charged the racket is powered up for 6–10 days.
