Carlota Lg. Clay Pitcher

Handmade Clay Pitcher handcrafted by using natural pigments, made by artisans in Atzompa, Oaxaca, Mexico. This technique is called "Tlahuiltecóatl": it is a natural mineral pigment with hair. The piece is pulled out of the kiln while red hot, to which the hair is applied. The hot clay burns the hair and is imprinted on the surface.  With proper care it can last many years for generations to come, because it has been fused to the piece.  Food safe, use it to serve your favorite hot or cold drink.  Color: creamy white  & black  Approximate Measurements:   H : 7 1/2” - 8” inches  to top handle 10”   W :  7" inches   Top opening 3” inches   Capacity approximately holds  3 liters  *Care: Hand wash before using.
