Carl Jeppson Malört

Brace yourself—Carl Jeppson Malört isn’t here to make friends, and it sure doesn’t care about fitting in. This legendary Chicago spirit has built its reputation on being unapologetically bold, with a taste that’s as divisive as it is unforgettable. This isn’t the kind of drink you casually sip—it’s an experience, one that challenges your palate and dares you to embrace its bitter, herbal intensity. The first encounter is like a jolt to the senses—a punch of wormwood bitterness that’s sharp, dry, and unlike anything you’ve tasted before. But don’t let that scare you off. For those brave enough to stick around, Malört reveals layers of complex flavor, with subtle citrus notes and a lingering finish that leaves you questioning everything you thought you knew about spirits. Carl Jeppson Malört is for the fearless, the adventurous, and the proudly unconventional. It’s the kind of drink you share with friends just to see the look on their faces, or that you pour when you’re in the mood for something that cuts through the ordinary. Love it or hate it, one thing’s for sure—you won’t forget it.
