Caribou MF

Caribou MF – Lightweight Summer Backpacking Sleeping Bag The Caribou MF is a lightweight summer backpacking sleeping bag built for long-distance hikes, warm nights, and unpredictable weather. Weighing just 1 lb 5 oz, it offers breathable protection without adding bulk. This bag uses MicroLite XP™ fabric to block wind and resist moisture. The shell is highly breathable and surprisingly durable for its weight. It keeps condensation out while allowing heat and humidity to escape. Inside, 850+ fill power goose down provides excellent warmth-to-weight efficiency. The down lofts easily and compresses small—perfect for ultralight packs and summer trail use. A roomy mummy cut allows for comfort without unnecessary material. It gives you space to move without letting warmth escape. The full-length #5 YKK zipper allows for easy venting or full open use in warmer conditions. The Caribou MF shines on long trails like the PCT or Appalachian Trail. It’s ideal for high-mileage summer days, hut trips, or alpine loops where nighttime temperatures stay mild but weather can shift quickly. Use it as a standalone bag for warm-weather trips or pair it with a bivy or liner for extended versatility. Its packability and durability make it a reliable choice for minimalist adventurers who go far with less. Made in the USA, the Caribou MF combines Western Mountaineering’s legendary craftsmanship with modern ultralight performance. It’s a true warm-season workhorse built for backpackers who sleep light but travel far.
