Carcinine Dihydrochloride

Carcinine has an unparalleled ability to protect the proteins in our bodies from misfolding damage, while also modulating pro-inflammatory histamine release. Research-based potential benefits: Potent anti-glycation and anti-carbamylation effect (proven AGE reduction) Can reduce skin aging Modulates histamine release and can stabilize mast cells (H3 antagonist) Can improve insulin sensitivity and fat loss Neuroprotective Reduces protein misfolding Antioxidant Aging happens at the cellular level. When we consume sugar, the spike in serum glucose causes inevitable damage throughout our body as the excess glucose ravages the structure of important proteins. This process, called glycation, is prevented by carcinine according to human research.  Carcinine also protects our cells from a similar kind of protein damage called carbamylation. Chronic inflammation, MCAS, autoimmune disorders and age-related processes catalyze the production of a damaging substance called isothiocyanic acid which carbamylates proteins in our bodies, accelerating aging and the decline of cellular and overall health.  Carcinine can also aid longevity, health and proper immune function through its modulation of histamine release, acting as an antagonist of presynaptic H3 receptors in the human brain. This may calm overactive mast cells and excessive cytokine release through downstream signaling initiated by its action on histaminergic neurons in the brain.  Moreover, carcinine has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity and weight loss in humans, and to mitigate metabolic disorders of obesity by protecting proteins from damage due to carbamylation and glycation. Its parent molecule, carnosine, is also a potent anti-glycation molecule, however it is rapidly shredded apart by carnosinase enzymes in the blood after absorption. Carcinine's unique structure resists rapid enzymatic breakdown, providing lasting protection against protein damage for up to 5 hours.  Both its bioavailability and duration of benefits have been shown to be much greater than carnosine's.  Its ability to not only safeguard our proteins from misfolding, but to improve metabolic dysfunction, dampen mast cell activity and protect neurons makes it an attractive molecule for Mitotek's ultimate goal of making cellular health solutions available to regular folks who need them.  Available in powder and solution forms.
