Carbon Cub S 2 1.3m Cleetus McFarland Special Edition RTF Basic

HobbyZone® created the Carbon Cub S 2 1.3m Cleetus McFarland Special Edition by building on the success of the best-selling Carbon Cub S 2 and taking cues from Cleetus McFarland’s full-scale CubCrafters Carbon Cub. This exclusive SAFE® technology-equipped model is one of the most versatile, capable, and easiest-to-fly RC airplanes with scale looks to match. HobbyZone Carbon Cub S 2 1.3m Cleetus McFarland Special Edition RC Airplane Introduction The HobbyZone® Carbon Cub S 2 1.3m Cleetus McFarland Special Edition combines the best-selling Carbon Cub S 2 with the iconic trim scheme of Cleetus McFarland's full-scale CubCrafters Carbon Cub. McFarland is a popular YouTuber, and one of the first videos he posted showed him flying a HobbyZone Super Cub on floats in 2009. He has since purchased numerous HobbyZone Carbon Cub models for himself and others to fly! It's also the absolute best tool new RC pilots can use when learning how to fly. With 8 different trainer aircraft - including 2 helicopters from Blade® and 6 of the most popular airplanes from HobbyZone® and E-flite® - plus Virtual Flight Instructor lessons perfect for first-time pilots, RealFlight Trainer Edition has everything you need to succeed in learning to fly RC because you can practice "flying" on a Windows-equipped PC computer before you fly your model at the field! This updated Trainer Edition version also includes additional features including nearly two dozen “Next Step After a Trainer” aircraft and variants plus 4 flying sites/fields that are unlockable reward content after you fly the trainer models for just 2–4 hours. Panic Recovery If you lose control of the airplane in the Intermediate or Experienced flight modes, simply press the Panic Recovery button or switch to Beginner Mode and release the control sticks. SAFE technology will automatically return the airplane to level flight. Optional Landing Assist Sensor for Smoother Landings The Spektrum Landing Assist Sensor (LAS) is easy to install and provides automatic “flare” control to help inexperienced pilots “grease” landings by minimizing or eliminating bouncing (works over many/most surfaces and offers optimum performance when flying over/landing in grass). Easily Upgrade to SAFE® Plus GPS-Enabled Technology With quick and easy installation of the optional Spektrum GPS Module, you can add next-level autonomous guidance features that make it even easier to learn to fly. With SAFE Plus added, you get: AutoLand Activated by simply holding down a button, the advanced AutoLand function puts the airplane on a stabilized approach to land on its own near the GPS initialization point. You can even provide some directional guidance to avoid obstacles or adjust the approach while letting the system do the rest to execute a safe landing. As your skills progress and you gain more confidence, you can take over more of the control inputs, eventually learning to land without any assistance from the automated system. Holding Pattern This beneficial SAFE Plus-exclusive feature essentially allows you to “pause” the flight by putting the airplane into a GPS-guided holding pattern. When you activate the system with a quick button press, the aircraft automatically returns to a position above the GPS initialization point and circles until you cancel the command with another quick press. It's a great way to safely hand the controls off to a friend or regain visual contact if you ever lose sight of the model. Virtual Fence It's easy to accidentally let an RC airplane fly too far away, but with Virtual Fence, worry no more. It creates an invisible boundary that the airplane won't fly past. When the aircraft reaches this boundary, it will automatically turn around and fly back toward the GPS initialization point. Then, it will “wag” the wings to let you know when you have control again.
