CAPTURING THE MOMENT

Last nights sunset 2/15/2020. The forecast was for overcast skies until 2pm, then partial sunny skies. Decided to listen to the forecast and head out to catch the sunset. Its been overcast just about every day since the first of the year so wanted to photograph a nice sunset for a change instead of the gloomy weather that we have had. I thought I would photograph Eakin Creek West with the box elders instead of heading to the lake. The temperature was 26F with 15-18 mph winds. I waited for about 20 minutes down by the creek before things started to get interesting with the sunset, clouds and color. The lighting was beginning to fade and a soft light then materialized in which I set up my camera along Eakin Creek West and began shooting. As I was photographing the sunset with the creek, I noticed the colors shifting around me from a blue to a pinkish purple and photographed those shifting color changes along the creek. (632-840)
