CAP'N POLISH

After Cap'n Cut removes the oxidation and surface damage, Cap'n Polish is the step that transforms a corrected hull into a showpiece. This fine marine polish refines the surface left by the compound, eliminating any light haze or micro-marring and bringing out the full depth, clarity, and gloss that your gelcoat is capable of. It's the difference between a hull that looks fixed and a hull that looks flawless. Cap'n Polish works equally well as a standalone polish for lightly oxidized or well-maintained gelcoat that doesn't need the heavy cut of Cap'n Cut. If your boat is in good shape but has lost some of its gloss and depth, Cap'n Polish alone will restore it. For more heavily damaged surfaces, use it as the finishing step after Cap'n Cut to achieve a mirror-like result before applying Marine Coating. What It Does Refines compound marks — removes the light haze and micro-marring left by Cap'n Cut or other compounds Restores gloss & clarity — brings out the full depth and color of gelcoat and fiberglass Removes light oxidation — effective as a standalone polish on lightly weathered surfaces Prepares for coating — leaves the surface perfectly refined and ready for Marine Coating application Safe on gelcoat, fiberglass & painted surfaces — gentle enough for all marine topside finishes How to Use Use after Cap'n Cut for a full correction, or alone on lightly oxidized surfaces Apply Cap'n Polish to a foam finishing pad Work into the surface using a dual-action polisher at medium-low speed, or by hand for small areas Work in overlapping passes until the surface is clear, glossy, and free of haze Wipe away residue with a clean microfiber towel Follow immediately with Marine Coating to lock in the restored finish Pro tip: Always apply Marine Coating within a few hours of polishing. A freshly polished gelcoat surface is at its most receptive to bonding — the longer you wait, the more environmental contamination can settle on the surface and reduce coating adhesion.
