Cape Cod Dunes

Gary Durante paints the seascapes and coastal landscapes of Cape Cod and New England, using color, perspective, and tonal values to capture their quiet beauty. He first learned oil painting in his grandfather’s Quincy workshop; his grandfather, an Italian immigrant, was a professional artist and sign painter. For the past five years, Gary has studied under Richard Copello, whose work was greatly influenced by renowned realist Robert Douglas Hunter. Durante’s paintings invite viewers into serene moments where light, water, and memory converge. DIMENSION: 16"L x 13"W | Acrylic on canvas
