Downeaster Rainfall Rain Gauge 3050, White

The Downeaster Rainfall, White Downeaster is pleased to be able to bring you this unique instrument. Based on an instrument designed in 1923 by the United States Weather Bureau, the Downeaster has an authentic look and feel combined with modern technology. The feature-packed rain gauge is a great value. It's simple to install, never freezes over, and keeps track of the big picture with dual memory. … The indicator window shows you both the latest rainfall amount and the total rainfall to date. This instrument, in a highly polished and lacquered 6" brass case, has Dual Memory that tracks the Current rain event and the Annual Total. The push of a button zeros the former memory for the next rain event. This unit comes complete with battery backup, self-emptying tipping bucket rainfall collector, 50' of wire, and AC power supply. The rain gauge is a large unit with a tipping bucket so named because it measures rainfall by the "tipping of the bucket" as it empties itself after a rain. The large diameter of 2.25" makes this instrument top heavy and subject to tipping; we recommend weighted down or staked to prevent accidental damage. It also features dual memory that tracks the current rainfall and annual total which can be reset at any time. Also available in Blue Face. Optional Brushed Nickel case $10.00 additional.
