If you are looking for the largest supply-side of awning material, then you have come to the right online fabric store! Canvas awnings have been use to supplement roof systems and to provide cover to help control the home’s inner temperature from the sun’s intense exposure, and to provide necessary shade for outdoor living areas, such as patios and porches. They have also been used historically as a great way to cut down on home energy costs by significantly decreasing the need for air conditioning as these canvas awnings provide remarkable shelter and defense from the heat of the sun. Awnings over doors and those windows that generate extreme heat require the inner air conditioner to operate all day long, which is bad for the utility bill and also the AC unit itself! Canvas awnings can also help protect indoor furniture, upholstery and artwork from fading and to keep the colors from washing out. Our selection of dyed fabric for awnings can provide bright and contrasting tones to a home’s exterior and become a very nice accent for an other-wise dull home exterior. As this material dries very quickly, it mitigates against mildew. Another great awning material and fabric is our Sunforger canvas, due to its inherent water repellent nature, durability and mildew resistance. Sunforger canvas is commonly referred to as “shelter duck” due to its high durability and capacity to protect against the outdoors elements. Sunforger canvas has a very nice medium weight and exceptional multipurpose functionality, which is attributable to the very tight, plied yarn weave construction.
