Candida albicans is a yeast that ordinarily inhabits the skin and gastrointestinal tract as part of the body’s normal gut flora. These colonies can exist harmoniously in the body without much effect on health with a good immune system and good intestinal flora that is populous and thriving. But when your good intestinal flora is compromised, Candida can grow unchecked and turn into an invasive fungus. Once the harmless yeast has morphed into a fungus with root-like filaments, the organism can penetrate the intestinal wall and enter the bloodstream where it has the potential of becoming a systemic infection that affects other tissues and organs. The delicate micro environment in the gut is in a constant shuffle to maintain a homeostatic relationship between the beneficial and potentially harmful organisms. The “good” probiotic bacteria population can be weakened by certain dietary and lifestyle influences including: Taking antibiotics or birth control pills Consuming a diet high in refined sugars and carbohydrates Consuming alcohol and soft drinks Undergoing chronic stress When combined with an anti-Candida diet, removing Candida from the body with antifungal nutraceuticals can be advantageous. The Candida protocol features potent antifungal herbs and compounds that support the body’s natural defenses to eradicate potentially harmful organisms.* If you have questions about this protocol, please take look at our in-depth Frequently Asked Questions.   Kit includes 4 items Bug Buster, 618 mg 100 capsules (pau d'arco, blessed thistle, thyme leaf, wormwood, cinnamon, gelatin (bovine) capsule) Fungal Fighter, 120 capsules (betaine hydrochloride, monolaurin, berberine hydrochloride, gelatin (bovine) capsule, rice flour) Inulin Prebiotic Fiber, 300 gm (inulin, magnesium citrate) Super Chromium, 500 mcg 100 capsules (chromium picolinate, rice flour, gelatin (bovine) capsule) *Disclaimer: These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
