Camera L-Plate with Starter

A camera L-Plate with pipe-fitting starter is a robust, modular mounting solution built specifically for motion-picture and grip applications, where fast rigging and repeatable spacing are essential. The L-shaped plate cradles the base and side of the camera, creating two rigid mounting planes while keeping the camera compact and accessible. Machined from durable aluminum, it’s designed to withstand the demands of handheld, tripod, and cinema-rig configurations. The plate features a grid of 3/8" through-holes, spaced precisely 1" on center, allowing for intuitive, tool-friendly rigging with standard grip hardware. Because the holes are not threaded, they accept bolts, studs, or pipe-fitting hardware directly, ideal for building custom configurations, pass-through mounting, or tying into existing motion-picture rigging systems without adapters. A built-in pipe-fitting starter provides a solid anchor point for attaching grips, handles, extension arms, or custom pipe-based rigs commonly used in film production. This enables quick expansion from a simple handheld setup to more complex support structures. The L-Plate also includes a machined slot for dovetail mounting, allowing rapid integration with industry-standard dovetail plates for balance adjustments, tripod transitions, or shoulder-rig setups. Key Features: 3/8" through-holes on a 1" grid for standardized cinema rigging Unthreaded holes for compatibility with studs, bolts, and pipe fittings Integrated pipe-fitting starter for grip and motion-picture builds Machined dovetail slot for fast mounting and balance control Rigid, low-profile aluminum design suited for professional film workflows Common Uses: Camera mounting for handheld, tripod, and cinema-rig configurations Pipe-based grip builds using Speed-Rail® and standard fittings Custom camera offsets and extensions using grip hardware Integration with dovetail systems for balance adjustment and quick transitions Scalable rigging setups where camera mounting ties directly into grip structures This L-Plate serves as a foundational rigging component, bridging camera mounting with traditional grip hardware, ideal for cinematographers and operators who need a flexible, scalable platform on set.
