APO Cambrian 32mm T2.0

The Dulens APO Cambrian Prime 40mm T2.0 provides expansive medium format coverage for large sensors such as the ARRI Alexa 65 and Fujifilm GFX Eterna, acting as a versatile standard prime within the set. This focal length offers a highly natural perspective that closely mimics human vision, making it an excellent choice for a wide variety of narrative applications from medium-wide environmental shots to tighter character-driven portraits. The 40mm effectively balances the immersive quality of a wide lens with the compression of a longer focal length, allowing for a three-dimensional rendering that feels intimate and grounded. Its fast T2.0 aperture and 0.27 meter close focus capability provide cinematographers with precise control over depth of field, even when working on larger sensor formats. The APO Cambrian Prime series is defined by an apochromatic design that ensures edge to edge sharpness and minimal chromatic aberration across high resolution sensors. To preserve a natural and organic aesthetic, Dulens has avoided the use of aspherical elements in this line, resulting in smooth, artifact free bokeh without the common onion ring textures found in modern glass. Each lens in the set features a proprietary V+ coating to balance modern micro contrast with gentle highlight roll off and subtle vintage flare. For streamlined efficiency on professional sets, the series shares consistent gear positions for focus and iris, a 270 degree focus rotation, and a uniform 80mm front diameter. Most focal lengths in the series, including the 40mm, include a 72mm filter thread to accommodate screw-in filters for compact configurations. These lenses come equipped with a PL mount, while interchangeable mounts in Canon EF and Fuji GFX can be purchased separately.
