California Black Fig

The scent The artist Try a sample first!  Back in her Boston studio on Newbury Street in the late 90’s, Dawn Spencer Horowitz crafted California Black Fig. She wanted to create an accord that really showcased the nuances of the fig tree and its fruit; and thus, a pulpy and textural true fig fruit fragrance was made. At Olfactif, we are suckers for a good fig fragrance and this one is top on our list! As the scent lingers, you’ll sense the thick purple walls of the jammy fig fruit covered in a milky lactonic sap, and then the ripe, sweet fig, perfectly aged, follows. Refined in 2025, this scent is so delicious, we consider it to be fig-tastic!   Notes include fig leaves, bergamot, fig pulp, fig wood, sandalwood, virginia cedarwood, vetiver, coconut milk-soaked fig and musk.
