Calendula Healing Ointment XL(3oz squeeze tubes)

Petroleum is bad, ok? And that goes for our udder creams we put on our animals as well. Bad for them-but also bad for us, since we’re using our hands to apply the ointment, itself. Steer clear of any products that list petroleum jelly or mineral oil on the ingredient list.  And if you’re just starting out living from the land, and for yourself, this would be a great place to start on swapping the bad out for the good. Petroleum jelly is so bad, The European Union has banned many petroleum jelly products, and experts are concerned they could be linked to cancer.  Women with breast cancer have twice the levels of hydrocarbons (substances found in petroleum jelly) in their breasts than women who haven’t had breast cancer. And we’re just rubbing this stuff into open cuts and scrapes?! On our cow and goats udders. Let’s not! And there are alternatives! The alternatives, believe it or not, that you can make yourself, are not just healing but medicinal and beneficial. After experience a batch of handmade ointment from infused Calendula and lavender, you’ll never even want that little “yellow tube of poison” (know which one I’m talking about?), again, anyways! Made with the herbs calendula and lavender, along with coconut and olive oil, with a few soothing drops of tea tree and lavender essential oil.  And raw honey to this, and you’ve got a salve that’s free from toxins, excels healing, fights against bacterial infections, and is way better and toxin free verses those found in store-bought tubes!
