Thorne Calcium (M281)

Chelated Calcium for Enhanced Absorption to Support Bone Health Across All Life Stages‡Thorne’s Calcium provides a chelated form of calcium for enhanced absorption — more concentrated than other calcium forms, providing more calcium per capsule. Especially important for populations at higher risk of inadequate calcium intake. Who May Be at Risk for Inadequate Calcium Intake Peri-menopausal and post-menopausal women Women with irregular menstruation due to prolonged athletic activity or strenuous military service Individuals on a dairy-free diet Vegetarians and vegans (higher phytate and oxalate intake inhibits calcium absorption) Pregnant women, particularly those with a history of gestational hypertension Individuals on antacids or glucocorticoids that inhibit absorption or increase calcium loss Individuals with vitamin D deficiency (vitamin D is necessary for calcium absorption) Important Information‡These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
