About Cell Salt Calcarea Phosphorica & Dr. Schuessler's Biochemic Therapy Calcarea Phosphorica or Calcium Phosphate is Cell Salt #2 in Dr. Schuessler's biochemical therapy of vital mineral salts. Calc Phos is used to support calcium absorption, general bone health, and children during growth spurts. It is also known as a popular general restorative.* Use Calc Phos to help form healthy bones and teeth, recover from injuries and illnesses, alleviate osteoporosis, relieve muscle strain and spasms, build immunity and fend off allergies, and support the metabolism and digestive system. Calcarea Phosphorica is the salt responsible for cell nutrition and growth. A jack-of-all-trades and praised as a general restorative by intergrative health specialists, Calc Phos can be used in conjunction with all other Schuessler salts to add to the healing process of whatever condition is being treated. Calc Phos helps build and strengthen bones and muscles. Frequently occuring dental cavities may indicate a lack of Calc Phos and Calc Fluor (Cell Salt #1). The combination of Calc Phos and Calc Fluor is also an ideal tonic for children experiencing growth spurts as well as during puberty. Consider Calc Phos together with Calcarea Fluorica and Silicea (Cell Salt #12) when recovering from bone fractures or suffering from osteoporosis. As the body needs Calc Phos to absorb protein to build or repair muscles, a lack of this cell salt results in muscle strain and spasms. It helps relieve a stiff neck and those tight muscles between the shoulder blades and is great for people sensitive to cold or exhausted after physical and mental stress.  It can alleviate crawling sensations of the skin or the muscles underneath it. Combine Calc Phos with Magnesia Phosphorica (Cell Salt #8) to deal with severe or chronic muscle cramps. Calc Phos supports a strong immune system and should be taken when convalescing from any acute or infectious disease and when struggling with allergies. It is the cell salt recommended together with Ferrum Phosphoricum (Cell Salt #4) for iron deficiency and anemia. On the emotional level, Calc Phos reduces feelings of general discontent, irrational desire for change or travel, and strong cravings for salty and fatty foods. Calc Phos can also be used to treat depression and crankiness in children. Interesting facts: As early as the 1930s, the medical community began using calcium phosphate materials in bone transplants and bone growth experiments as the body readily accepts and bonds with this mineral. Today, calcium phosphates are used in dentures, skeletal grafts, and as coating for bone implants.
