Caladiums

Caladiums Caladiums are tropical foliage plants prized for their striking, heart-shaped leaves in vibrant shades of red, pink, white, and green. Perfect for shady gardens, containers, and borders, caladiums bring bold color and lush texture to any landscape. These easy-to-grow plants thrive in partial to full shade and prefer warm, humid conditions. With their dramatic patterns and graceful form, caladiums add a touch of elegance from spring through fall. Ideal for both novice and seasoned gardeners, they require minimal care and deliver maximum impact. Use caladiums to brighten up porches, patios, or garden beds with their stunning, colorful foliage. Most classic, large-leafed “Fancy Leaf” caladiums thrive best in partial shade to full shade. Sun Limit: They should only receive 2 to 4 hours of gentle morning sun, followed by shade for the rest of the day, or be placed under bright, dappled all-day tree canopy light. The Risk: Direct afternoon Texas sun will scorch their fragile leaves, causing holes with brown edges (known as “melting”).
