Known colloquially as the “rich man’s marble”, Calacatta is quarried in Italy and was a favorite of the Roman Emperors. Calacatta is less gray than Carrara marble varieties. It has an ivory base and veins in greys, golds and greens.   IDEAL FOR Marble Mosaic Tiles Great for commercial or residential kitchens, bathrooms and vestibules as accent walls, or feature surrounds. Kitchen backsplash, bathroom walls, countertops, tub surround, shower walls, accent niche, fireplace surround, and bathroom floors are just some ideas. Timeless and beautiful, marble honors and augments any design scheme. Marble mosaics can be used to great effect alone or in combination with complex waterjet mosaics or stunning slabs of natural stone.
