Cacao Shell Tea | Cocoa Husk Tea | Chocolate tea

Cacao shell tea is also known as cocoa husk tea. This chocolate tea is simply loose leaf tea made from the shell of sun-dried cacao beans. It has a chocolatey aroma and flavor with the sensation of an herbal tea. It has  incredible mood-boosting (theobromine) properties and is high in antioxidants and flavonoids. Cacao is an amazing superfood loaded with nutrients. Great served hot or iced. Enjoy a natural alternative to chocolate or coffee straight from Africa. Studies have shown that cacao is packed with health benefits. In particular, cacao is naturally rich in antioxidants, flavonoids and a natural compound called theobromine, which provides a gentle energy boost while relaxing the body, decreasing blood pressure, improving brain function, and supporting healthy digestion, circulation and respiration. Cacao is also an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, including potassium, magnesium, calcium, copper and zinc.   *How Membership Works*   Ingredients: Ghana sun dried cacao husks. * = Organic Ingredients Perfect Brewing Instructions: Steep 1 - 2 tbs in 8oz hot water at 212°F for 5-7 Minutes using an infuser, steeper, coffee maker or French press. Great with honey, cream, and or blended with other loose leaf teas! Infusions: You can infuse this tea at least twice.  With each careful infusion, different subtleties of flavor are revealed.   Facts: Plain tea is minimally processed and provides roughly 2 calories per cup (240ml/8oz), which makes it nearly calorie-free. Iced Tea: Follow the instructions for brewing regular hot tea and double the amount of tea. When the tea has brewed the suggested amount of time, remove the leaves or teabags and pour tea directly into a container filled with ice. Add more ice to adjust based on your taste preference. Sweeten to taste with your sweetener of choice and enjoy. Caffeine: Contains trace amount of caffeine but rich in natural stimulant - theobromine. Cacao and chocolate products with trace amounts of cacao do indeed contain caffeine. The levels of caffeine in chocolate are nothing significant compared to coffee. However, chocolate and cacao products have high amounts of theobromine (which has similar qualities to caffeine).
