C325E Backstop Assembly

The C325E Backstop Assembly is used on the Model C300 Single Cycle Capper to start the capping cycle. It includes four main parts: a V-shaped backstop casting, a C316E Limit Switch, a C318 Actuator, and a C046A Rubber Mat. To use it, place the container firmly against the “V” part of the backstop. This also pushes down the actuator, which starts the capper. Once the container is in place, the capper moves down, tightens the cap to the set torque, then goes back to its resting position and stops. For safety, the machine will stop if the actuator is released while it’s running. The backstop assembly works with containers from 1 inch to 6 inches wide. A C316AE Limit Switch at the top of the capper’s stroke controls where it stops. The backstop assembly can be adjusted, but always turn off the power before making any adjustments.
